Piotr Sulik, MD

Psychiatrist

I am a psychiatrist with many years of experience. I completed my specialization training in psychiatry at the 3rd Psychiatric Clinic at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw. In my practice, I consider new treatments for mental illness and approach the patient holistically. Therefore, issuing prescriptions is secondary in my practice. Since 2019, I have been using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in my practice, which is an alternative to pharmacotherapy. You can find more information about this therapy here: TMS therapy.

Privately, I am married and have three children. In my rare spare time I love to spend time with my family and friends.

Treated diseases

Treatment of diseases:

    I diagnose and treat all types of adult mental disorders (F00-F79). My special clinical interests include:

  • depression, especially drug-resistant depression (TRD),
  • bipolar disorder (CHAD),
  • insomnia,
  • anxiety disorders (neurotic disorders), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD),
  • psychosomatic pains and ailments, hypochondriasis,
  • schizophrenia,
  • dementia syndromes, including Alzheimer’s disease.

My medical practice does not include the following:

  • psychiatry of children and adolescents (under 18 years of age),
  • sexuology,
  • making pre-trial evaluations and issuing certificates for court purposes,
  • opiate withdrawal and substitution,
  • home visits.

How to prepare for the first visit?

  • You need to have an identity document
  • It is worth writing down the most bothersome ailments/symptoms.
  • If possible, write down all the psychotropic drugs you have used so far, especially those you found ineffective or you did not tolerate well.
  • If you have been hospitalized, take your hospital discharge summaries or other medical records with you.

Tomasz Kowalczyk, MD

Psychiatrist

I completed my specialization training in psychiatry at the Clinical Psychiatric Department of the Wolski Hospital in Warsaw as part of the pilot Mental Health Center.
In my practice, I adopt an individual approach to the patient. I pay special attention to partnership cooperation in the recovery process. When planning a therapy, I consider individual needs and preferences, as well as treatments according to the latest recommendations and standards.
I closely work with professionals in the field of psychology and psychotherapy.
I am authorized to prescribe state-funded medications and issue a statutory sick leave.
I provide consultations in Polish or English.

Jakub Antczak, MD

Neurologist, scientific adviser of TMS therapy

I graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw. I defended my doctoral thesis at the University of Regensburg (Germany), where I worked at the Center for Sleep Disorders at the University Clinic of Psychiatry. I completed my specialization training in neurology at the 1st Department of Neurology at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw, where I also gained extensive experience in clinical neurophysiology, including the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in the diagnosis and therapy of nervous system disorders.

I work at the Department of Neurology of the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, where I use TMS on a daily basis in my clinical work. I am the author of numerous scientific publications, in which I described the results of my own research with the use of TMS. In addition, I regularly conduct courses where I train other doctors in the use of TMS for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Agnieszka Sulik, MA

Clinical Psychologist / Schema and EMDR psychotherapist

For almost 10 years I have been supporting psychologically and therapeutically individuals struggling with various mental and life issues. In my therapeutic practice, I mainly use schema and EMDR therapy models, which are currently the most modern forms of therapy worldwide confirmed by numerous empirical studies.

Dodatkowo w praktyce wykorzystuję przezczaszkową stymulację magnetyczną (TMS). Posiadam także uprawnienia do wykonywania diagnozy psychologicznej oraz badań osób ubiegających się lub posiadających pozwolenie na BROŃ, zawodów prawniczych oraz pracowników ochrony i detektywów.

I work with young people (aged 12 and older) and adults. My therapeutic work is regularly supervised.

Magdalena Piórkowska, MA

Neuropsychologist

I help my patients discover the relationship between the brain and the psyche. So far I have worked with individuals suffering from nervous system diseases – dementia syndromes, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. I am well familiar with both the diagnosis of neurocognitive disorders and the support in the disease process.
